Ms. Lagarde received her Juris Doctorate from Tulane Law School in 2000 with a Certificate in Environmental Law. While at Tulane, Ms. Lagarde was a member of the Moot Court Board and served as a competitor and coach on the Pace Law School Environmental Appellate Advocacy Team.
Ms. Lagarde was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2003 and is licensed to practice before all State and Federal Courts in Louisiana. In 2005, Ms. Lagarde was admitted to the Mississippi Bar and is licensed to practice before all State Courts in Mississippi and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
Ms. Lagarde is a member of the Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana State, and Federal Bar Associations, The American Association for Justice (previously the American Trial Lawyers Association), the Louisiana Association for Justice (previously the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association), and the Judge John C. Boutall Inns of Court.
Ms. Lagarde was recently interviewed by Diane Sawyer on ABC's Good Morning America with regard to her representation of families affected by the mislabeling of embryos by Ochsner's In Vitro Fertilization Center at Elmwood. Ms. Lagarde's interview can be viewed online at ABCNews.com
